Default 1983 29

does anyone have a 1983 29, i like to know ,someone gave me this boat, i need to put power in it, i want to run in the low 80s,i need to what hp i need to look for ,thanks

A little more information would help. Twins? Single? it will take a lot of power to get into the low 80's. I do not see that a '83 29 ever existed. Is this a scarab II 29' 6"? if so it will take between 600-650/ side.

it has twins i was told it is 83 , the hull measures 29.6.is there a place i could type in the vin. no. i was thinking 2 500hp??

2 500HP powerplants will get you to the low-mid 70's. Your boat and bottom is pretty much the same as mine. I assume TRS drives? I had ~450Hp and I could run about 70-71 consistently.
