decent pics of a cv

1991 26 CV with 500HP did 75mph at 5300rpm with Bravo drive and Hydromotive 4 blade (forgot prop details). I had the hook taken out of the bottom at the rear in the pad area. Wellcraft confirmed that they put a hook in them on purpose (safer). I was trying to get them to take it out based on poor workmanship (bought the boat new) but they then told me that they put it there on purpose.

Loved the boat charateristics, hated the poor quality.

How much speed did you gain by removing the hook?

2-3mph, it really loosened the boat up and let the nose stay light.
