Default Scarab History??

Im new to the Scarab forum as we dont see many on the west coast. All lake boats out here with the exception of a few big water guys. What is the significance of the Larry Smith hull, as compare to the others like Kaama, KV etc?

My boat is documented in Utah. Its been to Havasu a few times. It is true though, most the scarabs you see are 22'. I am going to take a stab at the Larry Smith question...I believe that the Larry Smiths hulls were built out of the same molds but with lighter material. I also believe that they were rigged by Larry.

Larry smith mold were NOT wellcraft scarab's..
Larry never rigged boats.. thats not what he does.. He had guys like Mike J and Warren do a lot of his work..

Mike J has a ton of info and docs on Larry smiths scarabs.. Mostly the 26's...

I ran the 38' larry smith Kevlar boat for a long time.. You might remember it as the old MIKE REAGAN race boat.. Yes it was pres ronald reagan's sons boat..
