I have a 1995 Scarab 22 with a stock 7.4L. I am thinking about going with a Procharger M1 System. I am wondering what I should be concerned about, as far as super charging this stock motor? It runs good now, and has around 200 hours on it. Are there any mods I should make before installing the Procharger? Also does anyone have any idea what prop would I be looking for after?

If is not a mag motor it will not last long with the procharger, the bottom end will not stand up to the tork,

I have exactly the combination that you are looking at building with a 95' Scarab 22 w/ a M1. I have been running it now for 4 years with no major problems. When I say no major problems I mean nothing related to the supercharger. I am running a 28P four blade at 4800 rpm's at 5psi of boost. You will be hard presses to get more than that out of it. I can tell you anything you need to know or want to know about this combination, feel free to ask.

Thats great! So are you running basically the stock 7.4 with no upgrades to the motor? Whats your top speed now with the Procharger? do you have any heating problems when running at high RPM's? What aboutthe bravo drive? have you had to do anything there?

I have an M2 procharger with mounting bracket going cheap - you would need to purchase intercooler, idler pulley, and fuel pump from Procharger and be good to go depending on carb or EFI. I ran this on my 28 excel - will get you between 75 and 80 easily.

had a baja h2x with 7.4, wanted to do same thing, called Tyler Crockett ,told him what i had what i wanted to do and he wouldnt even sell me a procharger for a 7.4, not trying to be a smart a$$, but that should tell you something.

I have been running my 454 base (300+ hrs) with a M-1 for 100+ hrs. I did rebuild it 4 years back and still no problems. Good oil and keep the charge cool...

I would be interested in that M-2 if it is still around... I am running a M-1 and wanted to spin it a little faster...
