Default 1993 Scarab Viper 31'

I just purchased a 1993 Scarab Viper 31'. Does anyone know how many years Wellcraft produced this model? Is this a good offshore boat? Is it worth dumping money into? do they hold their value?

91 and 93 if I recall correctly? If it has 502 mags, which a majority of the ones I have seen do, it should run 70-72 top end. For their size they are a respectable offshore boat and run fairly well in rough water.

The question about whether they hold their value of not is really relative to what you paid for it

Just spend some money and shout your mouth. Its much better than your baja. Back in the day Brad Gorm had a 92 I beleive. It was a black hull boat. It had 540 bulldogs with black hawk drives. It was on of the first boat merc tried with black hawks and it even went to the famous lake X. It use to run mid 90's back then on radar all day long. The boat is still around New Jersey I saw it at Arnolds for sale last year. The boat has bravo,s back on it now.I would keep it put some shorty lowers with some 5 blades and work thoses 502's and the boat should run awesome.I bet low 90's with 600hp per side.
