Default Prop Luck 22' Scarab

Hey guys bought a 1997 22' Scarab last winter and completely re-did the whole boat, all the way from putting a new transom in, to interior, to motor, and outdrive. I bought just the hull of the boat. I completed the boat in May. Used the boat alot last summer and was very impressed with the boat. I built a BB548 with alluminum heads, CMI Headers, and a 1050 dominator. Trying to find out about some prop selections. I ran a 30p 4 blade last summer, it worked well but didnt give me as much bow lift and speed as i would like, it seems as it lifts the stern of the boat up putting the nose way down when up and running. Trimming helps but still feel like maybe i should try something different. I could spin the 30 about 5200-5300 rpms putting me at 87 mph on gps. I had a 28 Hydromotive in mind so i can get some more RPM's out of the motor and hopefully help with bow lift.

Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

I give you a bump to the top. I had very little hull in the water with stock power at top speed of 63-65mph. I can't believe your needing more bow lift. Aerodynamics is probably what you need! Be careful, man that's one fast scarab 22. You ought to talk to Throttle Up or BB Blades for the right prop.

A round ear 4 blade such as a Bravo1 will give you bow lift. I see that you redid the transom, did you check for a hook in the hull? When I removed my hook it was a day and night difference on how my boat carried the bow.

And please tell me you have Full Hydraulic steering.......

Go with a bravo 1 or have some cup added to your prop.

Good luck. You would not catch me running that speed in that hull.

Yeah i re-did the transom but from the inside, when doing the transom you dont touch the outside of the hull..just tear everything out from the inside. Yeah i need to check out the bottom maybe blue print it.... I have dual hydraulic assist..its not a full helm. i prolly should think about full hydraulic..but the steering is tight with the dual rams now.
