I think that is the one on ebay now?

Looks like a nice boat.

beefmalone 11-18-2011 12:02 AM

I don't think it's been repainted. You could get a 38kv w/o the MV striping/decor. If it was blue instead of black I'd have already bought it.

This one was repainted, it was a Miami Vice edition and is famous in that a video is still on the internet that was made around 1994-ish that shows the boat. I will post a link.

It looks like a nice boat.....I hope she finds a nice home.

I talked to the owner a couple of years ago. Was a repainted vice boat. Here is a link of a web page that the guy before the one that owns it now. Click on the video in the to right hand corner to see a video of it in the vice colors.

oh boy..............was searching for the link and was beaten to it......LOL

beefmalone 11-22-2011 07:07 PM

damn that's really a shame then those MV colors look so much better than what's on it now and to go to all the trouble of redoing the interior too???

anyway, what do you guys think that boat is worth? He's talking around $29k.

MrSneakAttack 11-22-2011 07:25 PM

I think the boat looks great in the ebay add. Very clean in the silver and black and minus the arch.
And I am a huge MV fan.

AZ Lineman 11-22-2011 09:41 PM

I like it just the way it is

JetJock 11-23-2011 07:26 AM

The interior is original.....it is exactly like my Vice Scarab.

Hope she finds a good home.......looks good in the Silver and Black, heck I thing 38KV's look good no matter how they are painted.

Of course do like the Vice Color fade stripe down the hull....but nothing wrong with changing it up now and then.

My dads good friend owns the Scarab you are looking at, and it is an awesome boat that is in excellent condition. The owner before my dads friend repainted it. He said he would take $28,000 or best offer. If interested here is his email: [email protected]
It's just too big a boat for the lakes around him, and he doesn't get the chance to trailer it very often.

beefmalone 11-24-2011 01:48 AM

I wonder how much it would cost to repaint it in the MV colors? Any guesses?
