Default 1992 Scarab Thunder Value

I am putting my boat up and I was curious what a good starting point would be before I pay the OSO classified fee. Here is the ad I have on performanceboats and some pictures.

I am looking to move my 1992 31' Scarab Thunder. It has HP500's. Starboard motor has about 5 hours on full rebuild. Port has somewhere around 325. Full hydraulic steering. Nice Gaffrig dash with GPS. Offshore controls. Tab and drive indicators. All new switches on the dash. Racing cowl. Anchor locker on the bow. Pop-up cleats. Enclosed pumpout head. Shore power with charger. Large flatscreen TV with DVD. Setup for sirius with nice antenna. Stanless bimini. Full stainless rub rail. New dropdown bolsters and back seat. Snapin carpet (could be replaced). Full cover and cocpit cover. Fully rebuilt trailer with less than 50 miles on it. New axles, paint, bunks, steps and wheel wells, etc. Electric brakes. I am sure there is more, just cant think of it. $38,000 obo.

I sold my 1993 31' Scarab in March of 2007 for about $32000. It wasn't as good of shapes yours based on pictures, but mine was a Fittipaldi that made it somewhat rare. It sucks and does not mean your boat is worth less, but why would somebody spend $38k on a 20 year old Scarab when the can get a 199? Top Gun for $40,000? Just an example. Good luck
BTW I started at $40k and took $32k just to not sit on it (sold it in a month)and needed the $$$ to buy my P-38.

Michael,

I believe that we have talked about this very subject not too long ago. Thanks once again for the info.

I think your a little on the high side also...but, thats your "negotiating buffer"...lol. My advice to you is...if someone offers you something reasonably close...in this market...you should take it sir. Good Luck.
