You srewed the wood only for this test run ? No sealing betwhene the wood and the hull ? 3m adhesive sealant around the screw Holes. My idea are using tabe, to bring the water from the hull over the wood. I use not wood i like to use POM-C like this: I guess an acetal profile should work. How many and what sice srews you used ? Every 6"-8"I dont like to make more holes, than needed in my hull, for testing my strakes. :-) You should be filling and glassing over later

What topspeed you drive with this srewed wood on the hull. 76.3mph

Where do the strakes ending now, messured from the transum ? The transom is not a good reference point to compare. I will give you the distance behind the center of gravity on my boat. The longer strakes actually lifted my stern but also drove the bow down.

You can see the inner strakes are totaly out of the water. The only lift are from the outer strakes.
The water are mostly the same flat river water.
