Hello Rookie,

nice to see some pictures from your work.

You srewed the wood only for this test run ? No sealing betwhene the wood and the hull ? 3m adhesive sealant around the screw Holes. My idea are using tabe, to bring the water from the hull over the wood. I use not wood i like to use POM-C like this: I guess an acetal profile should work. Would you try to permanently attach this to the hull? http://www.ebay.de/itm/Zuschnitt-Pla...item3cc9458d89

How many and what sice srews you used ? Every 6"-8"I dont like to make more holes, than needed in my hull, for testing my strakes. :-) You should be filling and glassing over later

What topspeed you drive with this srewed wood on the hull. 76.3mph

Where do the strakes ending now, messured from the transum ? The transom is not a good reference point to compare. I will give you the distance behind the center of gravity on my boat. The longer strakes actually lifted my stern but also drove the bow down.

Rookie can you send me some more pictures ?? I will try to get some more this weekend if I go out to the shop [email protected] Thank you.

Jason

Next project should start this weekend. I will be pulling the engines out, doing a cam swap, pulling heads to measure piston depth, heads cc'd and getting my true compression ratio so I can add the blowers.

Mild Thunder I think I am going to have cams ground similar to yours but do the 2,3 and 4,7 firing order swap and keep my 0.667" lift.

I did not do it.

Hello twin O/B Sonic,

have you make some pictures of the tabed on parts.

How fast are you with this tabed on? Did there are on place after the test with only the tabe ??

This is a old Bild from my boat, but it shows nice the strakes.

This is from 10/2012 with full speed. Shortys and lab 28" Bravo One Props.

You can see the inner strakes are totaly out of the water. The only lift are from the outer strakes.
The water are mostly the same flat river water.

I was referring to Rookies project. Boat looks great by the way.

What you think about to modify the original strakes ?

http://www.offshoreonly.de/phpbb/dow...e.php?id=22007

i ride with the outer strakes. They are in same level with the watersurface. If i double the high and i ride again on the strakes i 2" higher ofer the watersurface. ???? :daz:

Was just going to put them on the shelf. No plans to ever run them again. I would make you a good deal on them, but remember these are solid roller cams.
