I think I'm still going to have to have a way to provide access to the hatch in the event the actuator just dies. It sticks sometimes now.

Those terminals I purchased are too short to fit under the seat and to reach the engine bay area. I drilled through under the seat and there is an inch gap before coming in contact with the engine bay wall. Probably 3 inches from under the seat to the engine bay.

my rinker 236 has terminals under the seat that goes right to the actuator.. in other words, hook up jumper cables and hatch rises..

I put the perko switch under the rear seat and also drilled a handhole to pull the pin. You never know when a actuator will fail.

Why not just pull the pin on the actuator at the end of the season??

Thats a good idea and one I'll certainly do.

I did place battery terminals under the rear seat for each battery so I can charge from within the cockpit area.

Probably will do an armhole too just in case.
