The boat ran out of prop @ 2lbs of boost 2/3 rds throttle ... 90 mph @ 6000 rpm . I don't think it will plane out with 4 blades ... took a while with the 5's but did get there .
Ordered a new set of props ... went up 2 pitch sizes. |

Bob was going to follow your led, had a line on 29 p5s he was going to swap me for my 32 bravos, thought they be a little small for me and you, just waiting to see how they worked out for you, guess got my answer.. hydros worked great on my checkmate, stern lifting prop, my Mystique is so ass heavy, i think that where some of the propose comes from, Dustin from whipple told me when i get this done i should go up 4 to 6 pitch sizes from my stock 28s...will see i guess, i think your a little lighter then me to, I'm 7800 dry weight, and yours has a pad bottom, mine a vee all the way back, but mines also got the transom notched...a lot of variables there..heck you only used them for a minute can't you send them back, say they didn't work...:party-smiley-004:

The P5X's are bow lifting round ear design ... Standard P5's would never work on mine . I was trying to take the 30 bravo numbers ... add some rpm for the higher X and subtract for the extra blade . Thought the 29's would be close ... lol ... not the first time I was wrong . The slip went up 4 % also ... never was very good @ math !
As big a prop as you guys are running I don't have enough fingers and toes to count that high. |
Well......when you guys are headed to the Inn give it a good run for me when you hit the beginning of the Elk River just after the light house. I will be sitting on the deck staring out there and drooling when you go by!!! :lolhit:

[QUOTE=737jetmech;3926582]The boat is going to be faster ... just have to dial in the set-up . No issues . Handled well ![/QUOT
Ran the boat this weekend on a local fun run with the 32 bravos ... 1 ' - 2 ' chop ... saw 94.7 before I got out of it @ 5500 ... might of had 1 or 2 hundred rpm still on the table ? Got scared had a few waves @ a 45 degree angle causing some rolling off the pad . Did not think the boat would get on plane using the 4 blades ... I was wrong again ! With the standard lowers the boat would only run 88 - 89 using the 32 bravo's . Slip number is 12.6 % in the chop ... 17.8 % flat water . Flat water is not my friend . Have a set of 31 P5X's coming ... should be able to lower the slip a % or 2 ... time will tell ! The -2 shortys helped free up the boat ... running the standard lowers last season my best speed was 91-92 on the best day with 30 bravo's ... most days 89 - 90 mph . So maybe 96 or 97 mph ? will have to see with a few more props to test . |
Boat looked real good bob! It did take a min to get on plane I was maybe 2-3 minutes behind you, it was throwing a nice tail too. Thanks again for inviting us out. Definitely do it again. We hit alittle rain about 5 minutes from our pier, i did hit 73 on the GPS though. Fastest the boats been since I've owned it lol.

Just had my viper hatch completely redone. My fiberglass guy said at this point he could make a mold if anybody wants one
