Boat looks great and sounds like a heathy cam is in her did you dry the exhaust up to avoid reversion?
If you want a couple more mph put a -2 inch Imco lower on it.
I had a 97 w/825 hp and a -2inch shorty and it ran 85 mph. Loved that boat

Thanks guys! And one day my plane is to put a -2 shorty on! Just time is all lol

Well got the boat out Sunday, and the New boat motor ran flawless! Picked up 10mph with the old propping (23p merige) a whopping 70mph @ 5300 bounced off 5400 once! lol! But that's better then the 60 wide open before Got a little more left in her, but going to have to get some new props for the power! She comes out of the hole decent but a little slow! I know that's got to do with the props!! But at least I have a start now!! All I'm all I'm pretty happy with her!! Anyone got better thoughts on propping?

Nice looking Mirage bud! Ive got a 1990 250 Larson Senza. does 63 and Id like to add another 10-15MPH to that! What did the engine work cost you??

About 7k back then! But I had to buy a lot of stuff! I went from eco to carb. I’ve redone it again sense then and add -2 shorty and gear change, now with the power I’m back fighting propping!

Mike S not to hijack your mature thread but you seem to be knowledgeable on the 29s
I notice most 29' Scarab owners have tri axle trailers, some tandem
I am looking at a 29' Scarab 1998, Single 502 .
I presently have a 29' Fountain CC , dry weight 5,500 lbs with a 2000 Magic Tilt tandem axle trailer which is rated for 9080lbs.
I have rebuilt the trailer and was wondering if there is any reason why it would not be satisfactory for the Scarab.
I would rather keep my trailer than trade for the tri axle that is with the boat if it would work.
Comment please.
Thx

I rebuilt my triple 3500 lb axle (10,500 lb) trailer for my twin 30' Panther with tandem 6000 lb torsion (12,000 lb) axles and never looked back. The triple shackles was a mess. You should be ok, the 29' I believe is 6300 lb dry.

You will be fine with the tandem trailer! My buddy has the same boat and he says it pulls like a dream on his alum. Tandem! I have a Tripple steel but that’s only because when I bought it, it came with the boat! I was going to go with a alum. Tandem but ended up fixing my tripple axle and its now is a real nice trailer!
