So if you have some real world experience post your hp and gps speeds. Thanks.
I have owned a stock 502 mpi 33AVS which ran 76-78 spinning Bravo 28s depending on conditions, a stock carb'd HP500 33AVS which ran 80-82 spinning Bravo 30s depending on conditions (a stock unit will not run mid 80s), and the stock 600DPX (560 prop HP) unit I currently have which runs 90-92.

Thanks for the input. That puts me close to where I want to be. I was thinking about putting my power in one and then turning it down just a bit.

There are, or were, as I have lost track of them, at least a few, that were running in excess of 105. One gentleman from NH whose boat I had looked at as a possible purchase had approx 900s and was running around 107 with some set-up changes.

I would have though faster with 900! I want to run 100 but it sounds like it would be cheaper/easier to start with a fountain 35.

I would agree, and my personal opinion is that it could run better with that type of HP but you have to dial the set-up into it, and it just hasnt been tried/perfected yet as a model to follow, like combinations have been done on other types of boats.

Built a 99 for a customer with 602 NA number 4s it ran just over 100MPH motors were around 700 HP if memory serves me. But never got it propped right before he sold it and went racing.
