I will try to fit the 2 496 HO in my boat .
Maybe i make the X dimensino + 1 or 2 " 2,5 i think is a bit to high.
I need around 1 year for that project.
Will let you know how it works.

I didn't take any pic's of the install sorry guys I had twin small blocks in it boat rode and handle much better top speed was 74 to 76 running 4 blade 24's. could get more with prop tuning but ended up selling it

Why not do -3 imco boxes instead of redoing the transom?

Ring210, About the weight. 496 engines are around 170 lbs more each. That is 340 lbs more. You can build a light weight sun pad, use aluminum on the engine, etc to save weight. Move a few items (batteries) forward can also balance the boat.

thats my plan to do.
The original sun pad is verry heavie, i will change it in a light weight.
The early 496ho have aluminium exhaust. And the batteries comes in the cabin......
I think it works....
Will see it in the next time.
