Default Miami vice scarab 38kv "star 2" found!

Breaking news!

One of the TV boats known as "Star 2" is currently being towed back to her new home in Wisconsin to under go a complete and fresh restoration. Located 3 years ago with many discussions on possible purchase, the deal has been completed!

I am sure Wayne will post soon but here is a teaser form the man himself....

The 15 year search is over.
The season 2 boat known as Star 2 is in route to Wisconsin for a full restoration.
The gentleman we purchased it from, has been the only owner since it was released from filming duties.
Always wanted to find this particular boat, because it had the same butterfly style opening race hatches as our Miami Vice Special Edition. It's sister ship had a one piece clam style hatch.
She appeared in the season 2 episodes "Payback", "Back in the World" and "Phil the Shil"
A special thank you to Bruce Allender for passing the torch to me and to Brett M Allender for bringing the boat to our attention and also Bill Erickson from Wellcraft for all the contributing information that sealed the deal for us.

From the pics, the boat looks like it was kept with some care - What is going to be involved with the restore?

Congrat's on sealing the deal - that is a long time to be in persuit of anything much less a vice boat with a specific HIN.... looking fwd to pics of the progress
