604's? Now that's some motors right there.:p I'm looking forward to watching what you got going on here. What kind of hp are you shooting for? Are you running bravo's?

Yep bravo , billet cap, amsoil 75-140. They'll last atleast 3 summers. Find a spare for $1500/2000
Not looking for hp numbers. Looking for torque band that doesn't fall off probably 800+

Where do you think that'll put you speed wise? In the 90's? That's a good looking boat brother.

I'm guessing somewhere between 93 and 98, 32 pitch 4 blade between 5400 and 5800, 604 cubes, motors peak hp prob be around 6200 but will prob quit pushing prop when torque falls off. Last 38avs I had 572s turn 30 pitch 16% slip 86. More cubic inches, More stroke, torque, better heads and bigger cam, solid roller.

how big of cam you thinking ?i got a pretty high lift like 719 somethings i've learned over the past couple years with high lift and solid roller

Not sure yet, builder and cam grinders input will be final decision. I'm thinking around .680 .680 256 262 @ .050 on 114 lobe separation for broader torque up top
