Default Bought 38 avs again

My '99 ran zz572 with few alterations dynoed 680and prob 620 real world hp. Boat ran 86.[ATTACH=CONFIG]553028[/ATTACH][ATTACH=CONFIG]553029[/ATTACH]
Building 598s with CNC brodix shooting for 800hp corrected on dyno prob 725 real world hp. My new one should run in 90s.

Your 99 looks very nice and I am sure the new to you 2001 will be even nicer. I have always liked the 38 AVS boats.

Were the zz572's the automotive crate motors? What'd you change and how'd they work out?

Yes were zz crate. Tore apart and checked for Clearences everything was good. Valve springs were incorrect had 190# on seat and switched to 4500 dominator intake and inconel exhaust valves and 10 degree locks. Here's dyno sheet [ATTACH=CONFIG]553177[/ATTACH]

Some other junk got in the middle of the word "checked". So you didn't have to change any of the internal clearances or the cam? I think someone else used them once upon a time here and they didn't work out so well.
