Default 302 Scarab CC info

As I've been researching boats for quite some time now and had a deal fall through on a 271 Fastec, my wife wants a CC. I've been reading and researching for weeks now. I do like the Concept CC, but the more I read on the Scarab 302's, the more I like them. This boat would be a dual purpose boat, family and fishing.

I am currently aware of the soft floor issues, but if anybody out there has any more info on these CC's I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance

Before I purchased my 30 concept every scarab 302 I called about had soft floors somewhere. If you decide to purchase one plan on replacing the rot unless it's brand new.

Where'd you get your concept from? They have a composite layup, correct?

The Scarab 302 is great. Since they are older will have to deal with rot unfortunately. They ride great and in my opinion get it with twin 250 and up hp. 225's don't let this hull stretch its legs. On the other hand Concept (not nocking them) are a great hull but the over 15 different ones that I have ridden in sound and feel like your riding in a 55 gal drum. Yes I know more modern build techniques and materials. Nice finish and paint work. Its a bit more flighty, I believe due to the lighter weight. I know people will bash me for this but oh well. Also look at a Renegade, I believe but might be wrong but it was developed with Scarab inspiration.

I got it from a seller in Tampa, Florida. It's a pretty fast hull and rides great. One thing I realized after going to cc is I have tons of room for the kids and whoever we want to bring.

Now that's my type of picture and most favorite ride of all time. Just plain sexy.
