Default Opinions on the 22 Scarab

Hows it going, I am new to OSO. I currently own a 18ft runabout and am looking to upgrade to a bigger boat this winter. I am very familiar with the 22 Hammer but dont not know much about the 22 Scarab. I am not partcial to any brand as of yet. Your imput on the good and bad points of the 22 Scarab will be very helpful in my decision. Thanks!

The 22 Scarab / Hammer thing has been discussed several times in the past. As a previous 22 Scarab owner I have offered my opinions. Heres a link to the thread I posted too.

Use the search feature of the board and Im sure you will find more stuff.

JTB:

I have had a 94 22 Scarab and a 99 23scs Scarab and both gave me very good service and seemed to be more stable and quicker than Baja equiped the sam way.

Email your no. if you have any questions, i'm just north of the Red River.

I have a 1996 22 Scarab. I have driven both. The scarab is a much safer ride. The baja will fly vertical. The scarab flys horizontal. The scarab will win in rough water. I've never lost a race with a Hammer.
