Default A little help here...

Good evening ladies and gentlemen...

I am begining to look for a second boat. I am leaning toward a 90-95 38 scarab. The boat looks to have most of what I am looking for, I would like to know what is the usual weakness in the boat, are there stringer problems or other issues?

I love my 28 Pantera but am looking for a second boat for the big weekends here at loto to haul larger groups of friends. I thought about a 38 Fountain but I think it is too small size wise, I like to wider beam and freeboard of the scarab.

Looking forward to some help from those in the know!

hi Von,

I recently looked at 38's from the 90's and found them to be smaller in cockpit room than my current 1990 34 footer, so I opted to repower and keep my boat.

Can't tell you if there were any particular problems associated with them though, perhaps someone else may know more.
