I'm in the process of swappin in some proper big velvet drives from the worthless babies I had in it. Before I started tearing into it, I did have some transmission issues, but I was having a lot of blowout trying to get on plane. I was running a 4 blade prop on 385hp 454 efi mags. I will try and get the specs on the props tomorrow. Even with a bad trans I could probably hit 64mph gps. Not sure I never did gps at both wot at 5000rpm.
Anyhow, I'm looking for a suggestion on a decent prop setup for this boat. I dont really plan on doing any power mods. It's fast enough for the river. I'd like to get rid of some blow out, as it takes forever to plane, maybe pickup a few mph.
I should mention this is with k planes.
Thanks for the help

I've run pretty much every prop style on my TRS Panther. I believe the best overall props and my favorite handling props are Mirage 3 blade. They carry the bow nice, the boat loosens up and reacts favorably to trim. I had blowing out problems at one time with my original props. The cupping was washed out of them. I had cupping added and they don't blow out any longer. I have never had to use tabs to get on plane again. If you are worried about getting on plane the Mirage PLUS in 23 pitch should be about right.

Late reply, but boat has been on the back burner.
I pulledone of the propsoff today to see what they actually were. Hydromotve HC-CL24 Q-iV props.
Apparently, the common trait with these is slow and hard to plain without blowing out. I'll start looking for a set of used mirage props to suit trs drives. I think I will toss these things up for sale.
