Question Scarab III 34 with whippled Smallblock

Hello,
I Interested me for a 1987 Scarab 34. At the moment working there two standard 7.4 mercrusier with OMC Cobra drives.
Its all running, but only 60 mph at Wot. And need very much fuel..

My Idea is, add from my old boat the complete drives and engines, and put this into it.
Also 2x Mercruiser 6.2 Mpi with Whipple superchargers. Imco Extensionbox and Bravo Sportmaster drives.
Whipple say, its arround 500-550hp

What you mean? If this slower as before? I think its arround 660 lbs less as with the Bigblock?

or is this a nonsense idea?

My old boat is a 1981 Wellcraft Nova, 26 ft and weight with this all technik 7250lbs without trailer. And Runs 75 mph.
The Scarab has a weight from 7750lbs
