How would I drain it? Using a siphon pump system?

I use a carter electric fuel pump connected to the fuel pickup, wired to a 12v battery. IMO your tanks would have to be really nasty or damaged to warrant pulling them vs flushing/polishing the fuel and keeping good filters on the system. After a season or two if you run a ton of fuel through them they will be even cleaner.

yup, through the drain plug or through hull into a container.

There are services / companies that will come to you and professionally clean out marine fuel tanks. they will have a wand which can "scrub" the bottom of the tank.

This will get it all out and filtered thru a Raycor filter system. then they can bring a few 55 gal of AV gas and fill you up so you know it's good and fresh. It's a few hundred bucks versus pulling tanks. Takes about 4 hours total.

Ask me how I know..... done it twice but still went thru about 12 filters for two years. Something was caked to the bottom of the tank.
