Looking for some history on this boat. Hull number ends in 31s. It's a Kevlar hull for sur, but not in the Vin. Also has scoops on the side and a race hatch. We h ave never seen another even close. It's definitely a factory build, not modified. Really appreciate any information!

Looking forward to see some more info on this, and definitely some photos. Starting in 1989 Wellcraft, and in the next couple of years Wellcraft came out with several different versions of the 31-foot hull. They had the Excel, Viper, Thunder models, and a couple of Ltd. Editions. In 1996 they built 5 'school boats' where they invited journalists and prospective buyers to get to know the boats. Those 5 were Kevlar layups, whereas the earlier Thunder series was Composite Alloys containing some Kevlar, and to make things even more complicated, some customers ordered their Excel and Viper 31s in Composite Alloy.
