Hi Scarab guys
#1
Can anyone here give me the skinny on the '85-'86 34 scarab raider/ninja. I primarily am interested in the outboard version as I plan to do some fishing and diving. . Any comments on the quality, ride characteristics and performance is greatly appreciated. Also are there certain problem areas that I should look at to determine the cailbre of the boat? Thanks in advance for any help and also if you all know of any nice deals on a 34 scarab raider that are not currently advertised for sale please let me know. feel free to pm me if necessary.

Good, solid heavy boat. Handles the ruff stuff great. I have only ridden in one with big blocks, but none the less, you won't be dissappointed. I know that with a boat that age I would have a survey done. Have the stringers, fuel tanks etc,,
Good luck! Wellcraft builds some tuff stuff!!

Thanks 29 scarab,
A survey is a given especially an 18 year old boat.
I will be looking at one in a week or two. I am interested to see its condition. Supposedly it is very clean, and updated. Can't wait!

There is a guy in our boat club that has a Ninja. I met him Thursday night at a meeting, then I saw him twice on the water today. It looks like new, don't know much more about it, I'll ask him the next time we see him.

Hi guys just got back from miami. I saw the raider down there and...
Lets just say for the kind of money he was asking I opted to buy a new boat.
However I saw a nice raider located in NEw york on boattraderonline.com if anyone is interested. The owner actually glassed the hull and deck together from the windscreen back to the the stern. IT also a has a very classy looking teak floor. just check the boat trader and search for 1985 scarab. the only weakness are the 87' rude 275. They only had 600 something hours. Fwiw
Good Luck guys and thanks for your help.
