I had contacted the firm in Germany about their Scarab 2 years ago. They wanted 85K USD for it and said it would run bout 10K to ship it to the States.

2 weeks later I found the one I purchased and it was less than 60 miles from the house:

PS. They used several (around 4 or so) MV edition Scarabs on the TV show. Mine is not one of them :)

Free, great looking boat you've got there. Do you have any idea how many MV special edition KV's were produced?

Wellcraft told me that between 25 and 30 MV special Editions were produced between 1986 and 1991.

Not many of those are still running.

Only 25-30 of them total? I though there were a lot more....hmmmm no wonder they are "rare"

There is a guy at Wellcraft called Robert Stewart. He seems to be able to get his hands on build sheets of boats. I got one for mine in pretty quick time.
