Mike I know it sounds funny but its the truth. I ran against that boat in my stingray and we were neck and neck at 71.2 MPH. Now we dropped in a 502 and it runs 75 ish(hasnt run it empty yet) Greg

So oh well .. I am trying a taller prop next week. I bought a lab finished Mirage + 29P will let you know if it goes faster or falls on its face :-)
I am shopping for the best price on a Procharger for the boat now. Will be a couple of paychecks down the road.

I had a 22 with 400hp small block with an Alpha 1 drive. With just a couple hours on the motor, 6 adults jammed in with cooler full of ice & beer..69mph. I guess the 22degree deadrise also helps. I did find from riding it hard that the deck was not attached to the hull very goog & the screws were always working their way out & I had some good strees cracks. Other than that, a great boat. We even use to pull a Parasail with it.

I have a 22 scarab fitted with a 502mpi with an upgrade ECM, dry exhaust, Cam and with 2" shorter lower unit. The problem I cannot tell you what is the max mph cos I will be putting the boat in the water in a couple of months. As soon I have results, I will inform.
