Was "ELVIS" Driving
with Reggie. Mike J. |
ohhh, a comedian eh?
Maybe Elvis was the throttleman, Jimmie Hoffa was the navigator, and The Second Gunman on the Grassy Knoll ran the pits... I called Fountain. It was not a race dedicatd to the two of them. Fountain did a promo video where my boat passed Johnson and the caption was "Bye, bye moviestar..." I'm supposed to get a video and info on this. When I do, I'll let all of you know. Mike J- you can tell Elvis yourself:D |
I saw that scene on an early 90's video that Fountain used to send out for free upon request. It had a short spot on each model as well as some video of Reggie's racing efforts and an interview in his office. I do not have that video any longer but I am sure many people do have it.
I think the race in question was a regular race either in FL or on Lake Ponchatrain if I remember correctly. It definately was NOT a 10 Meter Fountain. In the video, the only raceboats featured were a 42 and that 47 w/triples. Can't remember which one was in the particular spot that he went by Don J. It was at the start of the race if I remember correctly. Right after the green flag and Reggie left everyone. He made that comment on his intercom as went by Don. I think he won the race (or they wouldn't have shown it in the video). Anyone else have a copy of the FOUNTAIN promo video of the early 90's? |
OK so can we see the video ( the good parts )
|
Chuck Norris was in the video also with Al Copelin's Popeyes chicken boat.I have the Video If any body want's to watch it I'll send it to them as long as they send it back.
