Hi everyone,i'm new here at oso .I found this topic and wanted to write that i have also a 1988 Wellcraft Scarab Ninja 34 Foot here in Finland.I've just purchased the boat but i'm very pleased
Engines are twin 454 Magnum with a bit more power than standard. The color is white with red/black stripes... So now you can count one more to the Ninjas

Only 5100????
How´s that, any info here???
I´m told Kevlar Scarabs (38KV) are only 600lbs lighter than standards?
Saki.
I drove the boat the night before you got it to the docks for transport (you got it next to our construction rental outlet at Sompa)...
Checked the engines etc for the seller just to be sure the deal turns out ok.
You got a great buy although I myself would´ve liked some more options on that boat (K-planes, trim gauges and some small things)
My Dad did an offer on that same boat while it was brand new so I have known about its whereabouts the whole time.
The deck is a bit wavy thou and the electrics needs a little freshening (WD-40 will do wonders here and there) and you´ve got a Great boat there for a nice price.
Don´t you ever paint the bottom...get a trailer for it.
PS did you adjust the valves and timing like I suggested..just to be sure, call me at 040-501-3951 if you need any info.

The weight sure sounds light compared to a 38KV ?

.The boat is great und runs good.Lots of "freshening" is about to happen, new vinyls, new gauges etc. etc. and also the mentioned WD-40 will come in handy
We wont paint the bottom, but we also dont have a trailer for it,but the boat will run so much that those wont be necessary
We did check both engines and changed new sparks and "tulpanjohdot" etc. etc. The only worry we have,is that the right hand engine behind the driver is only firing up 7 cylinders...We dont know why yet,but we checked both engines compressions and all was ok except one cylinder was a bit lower than the rest of them... Otherwise the boat and engines are good and it runs nice. Thanks for the number,it is nice to have someone to call if troubles come up

thx...Yes the graphics are still the same, but i'm seriously thinking of changing them...The boat is now cleaned and washed perfectly and has been polished so it looks good,or at least better than in that picture
The vinyls are going to be made new and other little stuff... Oh and that targa is coming off as soon as i get my hands on it...Doesn't look good cause it's not white and made from plastic/glassfiber...

Latest pic of mine.Got it all buffed out and installed the windshield today. Still not sure what graphics to put on it. I'm thinkin something " Tribel" silver and purple with the scarab lettering done in Aluminum tread plate? What do ya think?
