29 scarab props houston prop
#1
I know there is not supposed to be any classifieds here but I am hoping this can be an exception due to these props working so well on 29 Scarabs.
Originally these were 23 pitch Mirage Plus props. When the boat was new they were sent to a local shop to be checked. In July or Auguest 2004 (can't remember) I sent the props to Darin at Houston prop for some labbing and to be converted to his Accellerator design.
The props would blow out at around 3000 rpm coming up on plane, Darin took care of this. He also got me a couple extra rpms and also converted them to the Accerator design. Darin's bill alone was around $600 for the pair.
Original GPS speed 68
Best GPS speed after local shop work 69.3 @ 4800 rpm
Best GPS speed after Houston prop work 71.4 @ 4950 rpm
The 69.3 and 71.4 were one week apart, I checked the speed prior to sending to Darin then overnighted the props to him, he did his magic and then sent the props back overnight so I would have them for the Cincinnati poker run.
I am open to offers on these props, I no longer need them and need to sell them to get something with a little more pitch.
Here is a couple pics. There are no dings or scratches on these props.

I thought you were selling the Scarab? Make me an offer. I am hoping to pick up a pair of used 26 pitch Bravo or 27 pitch mirage plus's. One source is telling me I need 28's but I won't know until I can do some testing. I may try to borrow some to test with first.

I believe your thinking way to big on your props. I personally wouldnt be going with Bravos on that boat either. they are to much prop for the 350 mags to turn effectively. I tried many different props on my 29 before I sold it. turned them in, turned them out, you name it. finally settled on labbed 25 mirage plus's. Will sell them if someone is interested. No longer have that boat.

I now have pro-chargers, thats why I don't need the Houston preped 23 mirage plus's.
I am told that the Bravo prop will settle the boat down a little at wot. I would like to test a couple different props and see how they work.
$550 for the props.
