I have a friend that tows a 43 with his suburban, tahoe is a smaller wheelbase, but not impossible. At speeds can make things a lil wobbly. I once saw a guy tow a 38 with an old style blazer, not my cup o tea but it worked for him. You alos should have a 3 axle trailer which will help w/ stability and elec brakes or surge.

What about putting it in and out of the water? Wont try and take the vehichle with it or will i be able to get it out even? Some ramps can be steep and slippery.

I would find a ramp that fits your needs, and drop there all the time, if possible. Its easier to make up a few more minutes on the water than to have to fight a bad ramp. If its a 4wd tahoe you should be fine. maybe post in General discussion to get a few more opinions.

there ya go, better safe than sorry, I have a crew cab w/ 8.1 vortech and lowered for my 311, I'm looking at a 43 now, it will tow it no problem. Make sure you get the extra plug in for brakes...

i have brochures from 98' 38 non step and dry weight is listed at 9,100 lbs. Also have brochure for 2001' AVS and dry weight is listed at 10,200. Why 1,000 lbs more on AVS? Anyway, you are looking at a total weight of aprox 13,000 lbs with trailer. The Armada is a nice truck but NOT for pulling your set up.

I would agree, most motors would handle it, my question would be the wheel base, the trailer even though the weight is distributed is prob 2 to 2 1/2 times the length. That makes it unstable. especially if you have a trailer tire drop off side of road nad send the whole thing into a wobble. I've seen it happen and the outcome wasnt pretty. Be safe and get the longer wheel base.
