hey I found a nice project boat, and by project i am being nice to it. the poor owners had no clue on how to care for her. Anyhow, the TRS drives are GONE...misplaced. Where can I get a set of good ones cheap? email me back please [email protected]

Dave:
TRS drives and cheap is an oxymoron. The parts are becoming increasingly scarce and the prices on rebuilt units are not coming down either. When you inquired about our 39' Stinger project for sale, I told you all about the TRS drives. Given the horsepower and torque of the stock 454/400 Cyclones, the TRS drives should be bulletproof. There is no sense in replacing them with Bravos at this stage of the game, because there are other variables, i.e. engine placement, etc., and especially Bravo III's as you mentioned, which are not appropriate for this type of boat. The only logical replacement drive for the TRS is a Konrad, and they will run almost $20k for the pair last time I checked. With that in mind, I don't think they are in your price range considering you were supposedly shuffling money around, sending me a deposit and picking the boat up this past weekend. I spent an awful lot of time discussing this boat with you and for a change I'm just left hanging.

I just didn't want to see any other OSO brothers get jerked around as I did. I must have spent 10 hours on the phone and emailing back and forth with "BAM" (Dave) reassuring me what a "serious" buyer he was and how badly he wanted the boat. Not trying to libel him here, just stating the facts so others will take proper care.
