One of my best friends were at the dealer meeting in texas and drove it. He is a loyal P22 fan ( and a obviously a sea ray dealer ), he said it rode well and turned well, not hard like the older boat.
He also said the same thing about the boat being 1000 lbs heavy. It was a pre production boat.
Also word from my source inside sea ray, is they kept the X dimension LOW and installed the Bravo 3 to slow it down. It is my understanding that with a 2" shorty and a single prop it will run mid 70's
I will be able to tell you more in a few mths.... rather when the ice is gone from my lake.
We are working on getting a blank too.... for a 600sci that he has sitting there. BTW it comes with ITS. The swim platform also unbolts, and it makes the boat look a lot better.

My buddy just got a quote from our local sea ray dealer. With the 496 they said a round about price of $50k with the option to get a bravo one for less $. Im sure this is after they get rid of all the fugly 50th red ones tho.

You seem to have all the info before its available, you must have a great source. You had the spy pictures before anyone.

So are you saying the boat does not turn as hard as the 80s boat? That would be a shame, that was half the fun.

Do you have any other info on the boat thats not out there yet?

I still want to see it in person, especially if the price is going to be closer to the 50k that the one person was quoted.

I forgot to mention that he also told me it ran 62 but did it with 5 of them and was all over the rev limiter.
I don't think there is a lot more info, what are you looking for?, I can certainly get it.

Oh, it gets better.

Its actually 94k for the P22 with the 496 HO. That is with NO OPTIONS, meaning no porta pottie, mouring cover, trailer, etc.

Its so sad. They really blew it with this one...

I went to the boat show yesterday and the dealer in town has tested one. He said a customer was looking into one with the 496HO and Bravo1 $90k+.
He also said he thinks this will be an limited edition because no the price.

Yep, 90k+ is way too much for this boat.

For the record though, you cannot get the boat with a Bravo 1 with the 496ho, they threw the Bravo III on there to keep speeds down below 70mph.

This one is going to be a slow seller, regardless if its limited edition or not.

Here's a couple shots from Miami.

I've always been a big fan of the 22 Pachanga, -got two of them actually, one 350 Mag powered, one '87 454, both Alpha drives. The big block is much faster out of the hole but tops out a bit over 60. The small block will run 62.9 gps but take a while to get there. I guess the extra 60 hp of the 454 is absorbed with the additional 300 lbs weight.
