Trying out a new intake on the Pachanga22. Going from the Dart single plane (on the left) to the Pro-Filer Sniper Jr. (on the right) hoping for some minor improvement.

509 BBC upgrads- Dyno Results
 

Here is the dyno video of our 509 that we went from Dart Iron Eagle heads to Edelbrock Performer Marine aluminum heads, and from a Dart single plane intake to a Pro-filer Sniper Jr. intake.
All the details are in the video description. Had a gain of 50hp and 30 ft lbs torque.

New motor that we are building for the 22 pachanga. Hope we will see some good mph gain.
Does anybody else have any pachanga projects in the works?

I recently picked up an 87 P22 with a built 502. Burke heads, EMI Thunder risers, Bravo XR with external hydraulics and some other goodies - estimate between 470-500hp. It did 74mph GPS on a 23p Mirage prop. I've been recommended to try a 25p Mirage+, I think it will eke out another MPH or two with the right setup. Anything else I ought to look at to kick up the performance? I don't want to add a blower, NA all the way.

Super happy with the boat, it's a wonderful hull and one of the best rides I've ever owned. I'll keep this one a long time.

It is getting time to pick up my project, a 1988 oyster/blue P22. It was stowed away due to family issues, had a Merc HP450 clone pushing it to 72 mph. Have been lurking here to keep up the motivation :)
Motor is sold, now laying on the shelf is a disassembled HP500 EFI with new Marine Kinetics cam, AFR 305 heads and a blower kit of choice, either Whipple (unfortunately 2.3 liter but I do have 2 blowers ;) ) or a Vortech V-4 J.

Was running it with an XR drive, now I also have a -2 Imco shortie to bolt on. As soon as I receive a new cylinder block I will start the building it up again. The factory HP500 block has seen too much salt, don't want to use it together with all the nice stuff going into it.
