It also depends on what type of alternator you have? Older ones have the Excite terminal that needs to be hooked to your purple ignition. One is the voltage sender which you jump to the bat output....

not at 3500 or 4000 it keeps the temps around 195 to 210 at those RPM's. Only when i lay into it for a long run will i see the temps climb to the temps which will cause me to reduce the throttle.
