with 470 hp and stock drives I would try 25 pitch three blades. The four blades might cruise good but boat will feel slow to excelerate. My 280 sport liked 3 blades before the shortys.

I put 2 inch shortys on my 89 280 sport and picked up 5 mph. from 77 mph. to 82 mph. on gps. The handling is better at all rpm ranges to.

update: found used imco -2 lowers went from 77...

update: found used imco -2 lowers went from 77 mph to 82 mph and handling is much better at all rpm ranges. Time to get hook out of bottom and have bblades set me up with props

anybody run -2 shorty drives on a 280 sport. I have mine running 78 mph gps and what to break 80 mph. My boat is already a handful at that speed and wonder if shorty drives would make the handling...
