The blue motors are balanced and blueprinted at factory. They are Merc Racing engines and the 500 is the baby. Fountain prefers blue engines in their boats

500 hp single is fountains recommended setup. for power to weight and cost of operation. lots of extra cost in twin setup for what you get out of it.

big big jets on the holley. or go with an 850dbl pumper or a dominator but i dont think you need that much a 1050 dominator with big jets will support 700 hp all day. the 850 will have better low...

my friend had a 1986 Fountain ICBM 12m with twin 454 single carb blown engines and the lower ends with no paint and no prop hub exhaust . probably 550 each maybe 625hp and that did 82mph
