When you purchase a new engine package from Mercury and you get the XR drive, does the package come with an HP Gimbal or is that an extra. Can the XR drive even be used with a standard bravo gimbal...

I have the garmin unit that came with my nordskog gps, no signal under the dash. In havasu it took almost a minute for the thing to aquire a signal witht the unit mounted on top of the dash.

I purchased an engine from Lee on the Boards and I used Bax, they were much cheaper than the other freight companies. If you can get your hands on a mercruiser crate, they work pretty well.

I am all for that theory then because the tabs are going to get as close as you can get without hitting the drive. I think the tab will be 5-6 inches from the drive at full turn.
