Thermostat vs no thermostat 540 cid Procharger engine

I have a 540 cubic inch engine with an m4-sc procharger i currently run with a thermostat and wonder if it is not a good idea to run with out one.

Thanks for your help with this I had it backwards and was thinking that since the prop would turn slower with a 1.35 ration that it was essentially geared down which I thought would require higher...

I have a 1.5 gear ratio steerndrive with a 30 pitch prop now and will be going to a 1.35 gear ratio drive, what prop would I use.
