Yes, they are mounted on the transom. I do have a Fountain so you know that they are tilted back a lot when the boat is sitting in the water.

Sounds like I definitely need to get the old straight edge out and mark neutral on my indicators. I could see where the indicators could be off/different from boat to boat.
