When an XR drive is not enough, is there any other options other than #6 drives?

I hear many people say XR drives stand for explode and replace. You have to bleed money to run #6 drives, so what is a person to do?

Why not just buy a cabin cruiser and be done with it. I would hate to be passed by a single engine boat. That is a real possibility with the BT. Not so with the Donzi.
