I am relatively new to offshoreonly as well. I own a 33AVS. Blew a drive. Set out to solve the problem for everybody. Gears are available, although not cheap, you can get them and love the boat

I spent 2 years getting gears made by a gear manufacturer/. The are available. I have sets for sale.

Volvo Penta DPX lower drive gears

I know I'm on old threads, but I've been watching any info on DPX DRIVES. I even bought a couple a drives from a member her that lives in Canada. They turned out to have bad lower gears, so I wasted...

I know this is an old thread, but did you ever find the 2 DPX-R's you were looking for? I know a guy who has 2 or at least did as of October of "22". Both are 1.47 ratio and both had been gone...
