Thanks - have read a bunch of your posts on the topic. I did just catch that new lower today. 10k. Sheesh. But prolly better that than use an SC or XR lower toast that and then damage the SCX upper....

Does anyone have any first hand recent knowledge of XR to SCX conversion?! Some old threads suggest SCX upper change alone can affect COG and not good. Thanks.

XR lower driven gear from upper gear set

looking for one new or used if in very good shape. This gear is the largest of the three gears from the upper gear set. With the needle bearing on the inside. Thanks.

If you're talking big lake ontario vs. thousand islands / st. lawrence, it's too small. My 27 ( and especially the drive) takes a huge beating in waves over 2 feet.
