I have a 353 Fastech and just installed a 5k Mermaid. I think my expectations were a little high far the unit since my cabin does not cool down that fast. My Honda 2k seems to run it just fine...

After talking with Mermaid tech support they said "if it blows 18-20* colder than the ambient temp, thats the definition of ac". :mad:

I tried out my 2000 on my 5200 btu Mermaid m5 A/C and it worked great but when I flipped the switch for the battery charger the generator started to surge (hi-lo-hi-lo) and the ac compressor started...
