Hello all -

I bought a Fortress that was recomended for my size boat and it doesn't fit in my locker. It's a real pain in the a$$ to put it together each time I want to use it ( I usually wait to raft off someone). Anyone know which one will fit and hold my 353 for an overnighter?

I like the Fortress, but sometimes having to put it together gets a little nerve wrecking. I still like to be able to stow it away compacted.

I had a 312 and 353 and found those lockers 2 B only good for a couple lines and smaller fenders! Plus did not want an anchor banging around in there. I also had the Fortress, ended up w/ a large tote bag and would put it in that "whole" then slip it in the starbd. side storage area in the cockpit. Worked great 4 me. If U want 2 throw off the front, wife would hand me the hook and chain on port step over pad and I would take it to the front and heave! Pain but it worked! Good luck! Wrink

I have a 312...same anchor locker. I finally found a claw type anchor rated for the boat and held AWESOME...Too bad the first time we got into some 3 footers it punched 3 holes in the bottom of the locker.
Now I carry the rope and chain with a quick connect in the locker and the anchor in a side compartment behind the seats. (Actually I usually wait for someone else to bring out their anchor first too!!! )

An other small anchor that works is Digger.

I had one on my 29 Fountain and it fit in the small anchor locker and it worked well. I am going to try one on the 38 this year as the Founain model that is supposed to fit is hundreds.

The Anchor Locker on a 292 is in name only. Back seat it.
