I drove the boat up in the spring on its own bottom. That was fun but I don't want to do it anymore, besides it puts a lot of ware on the engines.

I called Fountain but they don't have any in stock and would have to order it from the Rolla factory. You would think that they would keep one in stock now that they have produced over 50 of these...

Very interesting. I looked it up on the web and called one these services. They told me they could use this process on a new prop to relieve stress but on the used props they have to be good...

Thanks for all the advice. The drives are Arneson ASD8 on a Fountain 48 this is their standard setup. I would like to prevent this prop failure in the future. I'm disapointed that I have to wait 10...

Fountain 48 and 38 Express Cruisers. Cruise all day long at 50mph and get good fuel milage 1.2 mpg (48') and 2.0 mpg (38'). They have a good forward stateroom and a smaller aft stateroom.

Does anyone know of a repair center south of Boston that works on Arneson Drives? I have water in the lub. tank. I think it is thrust ball packing and O-ring.

They have 440 hp Yanmars with ASD. I have been told when you fill up the fuel tanks (457 gals) that the speed drops down to 55mph. I wounder what that does to the rpms?
