Funny thing on labor day weekend I was pulling a trailer with 100 gallons of 93 octane with my GX 470, On the turnpike headed to the boat going 88 on a 65 limit. Got pulled over and got out of it...

I believe the law is 100 gallon max that you can trailer. I do it becasuse I use 93 octane and there is no place to get it on my lake. I got a trailer from lowes and bolted a fuel tank from tractor...

Do you think in my setup 671's should be looked at. I know they're not the latest and greatest (1071???) but that's not what I'm going for. I don't think 671's are the weak link or could they be.

Thanks for the advice dave, do you see any hp increase with alum vs. cast if both are ported? Also do you see any merit in what blast said about 671 creating to much heat

at 3500 rpm I have plenty of power, in a 1981 fully redone 39foot cigarette I run 58 mph and at 5800 run 86mph
