fuel pickup in gastank

i can only burn 30 gallons off a full tank then i run out of fuel.must have lost a pick up tube. has anyone ever taken the 90 deg fitting off the tank?? what kinda job am i in for???? any help would...

Bad thing is the motors are out and i want to dyno them with the cleaners on with the hp500 cleaners on i only had about 1 inch of clearence they are 5 in tall, but im worried about the back side.

does anyone know if a oval with a 3in eliment will fit under the hatchs if a fever with hp500 set up side by side,dont want to go with a 2in if the 3 will fit without cutting anything,
