Considering dropping 600hp engines into a super sport one day. What is the max hp the Bravo III can withstand? Would the hull handle 1200 hp? How fast do we think she would go?

Layup Insurance Only for a Year

I spoke to our insurance agent and they graciously offered to deduct $100 off of the price of our insurance if we laid up our boat (blown motor) for a year. :eek:

The add is useless as it does not tell me what I can expect in a 'real world' situation. Nice to know I can run 103 just before I run out of fuel and lean out my motors. :eek:

Your application for this is very similar to what I did 15 years ago with my '81 Grand Prix. I remove the 6 cyl and dropped a 375hp 350 with NOS (500hp) into the car. The major problem I had...

In Ontario you pay the GST 6% and the PST 8% on a new or used boat bought from the dealer. You only pay the PST on a used private sale.
If you import say from the U.S. they screw you on both taxes...

Oh yes, I have been flipping on just this question. Problem is two HP marine engine buildes will not touch them for under $9500 + 2k to do the re&re. Thats 21k.

Ok, I'll lay my cards on the table.

No salt, Ontario motors.
Overheated one... #6 or #8 or both have valve train noise and there is a squeak from the rear of the block (most likely a bearing). ...
