If you go for the Viper you have to have at least the HP500'S THATS TRUE FOR BOTH THE 38 AND THE 34 The Viper is a great boat but if you can swing it go for the 38. Size matters

I also bought one about 4 years ago. Not good to travel but is fine for keeping the rain and dirt out.

I have owned the 28, a 34 and now have the 38 All fantastic boats. The key to a PQ is room and ride. They are not the fastest ( usually short 2-4 MPH on similar powered boat) but handle very well...
